Plain answers before you connect anything
If OpusClip is $15 for 2.5h, why is WeaverClip $15 for 4h still profitable?
The difference is where the rendering runs. Opus Clip reframes in the cloud and has to price around that; WeaverClip renders on the Mac you already record with, so your plan pays for storage and transcription instead of somebody else's servers. That is what leaves room for more footage at the same monthly price, and it is why the allowance is quoted in gigabytes — the unit your recording is actually measured in.
What happens when I go over?
Free never bills — uploads just pause at 10 GB and files stay on your Mac. Paid storage above the vault is $0.04/GB-month and extra renders are $0.05 each (we recommend moving overage to $0.05/GB-month to clear 60% after Stripe fees). Transcript hours simply pause until renewal or upgrade; they never create overage. Studio overage uses the same rates.
Can I really store a 3-hour sermon or stream free?
Yes. At 1080p30 6 Mbps a 3-hour file is about 8.1 GB and uses 3 hours of transcript time. Free gives 10 GB and 2 transcript hours — so a 2-hour cut fits entirely free, and a 3-hour needs Creator $15 for the extra hour. With Opus Free that same 3-hour would already exceed the 60-minute monthly credit and be deleted in 3 days. Weaver keeps it 30 days.
Do I need to record vertically for Shorts?
No. A landscape recording can export as 9:16 by cropping to fill or fitting over a blurred background. The dual-canvas helper pairs an Aitum vertical file only when the filename stems match exactly — both masters count toward storage, but they share one transcript so the same show minute doesn’t count twice.
Where do Agents fit?
Give an agent its own WeaverClip account (an Agent workspace). The asterisk is not a footnote to hide behind — it's the promise that we state the vault in bytes and the hour guide at a single, documented bitrate, plus the table to translate your actual OBS settings in seconds. A 2-hour 1080p60 Valorant VOD at 12 Mbps is 10.8 GB, not 5.4 GB. The “Free 10 GB” you bought holds one of those, not two. The same vault at 6 Mbps sermons holds two.
